Basis of the edition

The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary.

Commentary

Previous editions: Hazenbos 2003: 120-21.

Note in this fragment the use of the verb ḫandae- with the king as subject (r. col. 3′), the rarely attested deity Kurušiyati (r. col. 2′, cf. Hazenbos 2003: 120: Marusiyati), and the very large intercolumnium. Kurušiyati is attested only here and in KUB 25.22, and based on the script an indirect join between the two fragments seems possible at least in principle.
